The materials, electronics and supplies listed below will provide you with everything you need to build the wooden Bluetooth speaker.
Electronics
* An 82 Ohm load resistor works with the suggested USB 10,000mAh power bank above to keep it out of sleep mode (since the Bluetooth circuitry does not draw enough current). If you use a different USB power bank, good to have an assortment of resistor values on hand. The additional current draw won't make much of a difference with the battery life. Be careful with power ratings if you use 0.25W resistors, might need two in series. P=VI, where P = Power, V = Voltage (5V), I = Current. I=V/R, where R = your resistor value.
** You can twist three individual wires together to make a cable like what you saw in the Bluetooth speaker video.

* Select a type of wood suitable for bending. Poplar, Beech, Maple and Ash are commonly used but other species are also suitable. The wood should be straight grained and knot free.
** As thin as you can get aiming for 3mm [1/8”] - no problem if slightly thicker
